Avro Anson

trainer / coastal patrol

Originally a coastal reconnaissance aircraft, the twin-engined Anson was quickly outclassed but became indispensable as the standard multi-engine crew trainer of the Commonwealth Air Training Plan, teaching tens of thousands of pilots, navigators and wireless operators from Canada to Australia before they moved on to operational bombers.
