Cannone da 75/27 modello 06

field gun

A licence-built Krupp design adopted in 1906, the 75/27 was Italy's standard divisional field gun of WWI and remained the backbone of Italian field artillery through WWII, over three decades after its introduction. Its modest range and lack of a split trail left it outclassed by newer Allied and German field guns, but with over 2,000 built it equipped the bulk of Italian infantry divisions on every front, from North Africa to the Eastern Front.
