Britain's first post-Washington Treaty heavy cruisers, the County-class ships were built in Kent, London and Norfolk sub-groups and served across the Atlantic and Mediterranean, HMS Norfolk and Suffolk shadowing Bismarck through fog and radar contact until the Home Fleet could bring her to battle.
