Kurogane Type 95
scout car
The only reconnaissance car ever designed and built entirely in Japan, the Kurogane was one of the world's first mass-produced four-wheel-drive passenger vehicles, predating the Jeep by several years. Nicknamed 'Yonki' for its all-wheel drive, it scouted ahead of Japanese columns across China and Southeast Asia.
