Lisunov Li-2
transport
A Soviet licence-built version of the American Douglas DC-3, the Li-2 was adapted with domestic engines, a rear gun position and a cargo door, and served as the Red Army's principal transport and paratroop aircraft, resupplying partisans and encircled units alike. It was also used as an improvised night bomber early in the war.
