Marder II

tank destroyer

An open-topped Panzer II chassis fitted with a captured Soviet 7.62cm gun or the German PaK 40, the Marder II was a stopgap answer to the T-34 crisis of 1941-42, giving German infantry a mobile, if lightly protected, anti-tank weapon in large numbers.
