Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet

rocket-powered interceptor

The only operational rocket-powered fighter of the war, the tailless Komet could climb to bomber altitude in under three minutes but had only a few minutes of powered flight and a highly corrosive, unstable fuel that killed more pilots in accidents than combat.
