A sleek, purpose-built strategic reconnaissance aircraft, the Ki-46 (codenamed Dinah) was fast enough to outrun most Allied fighters that tried to intercept it for the first years of the war. Its clean lines and long endurance made it invaluable for photographing distant targets and shadowing fleet movements across the Pacific and Burma.
