An open-topped tank destroyer pairing the lethal long 8.8cm PaK 43 gun with a Panzer III/IV hybrid chassis, the Nashorn (Rhinoceros) could kill almost any Allied tank at long range but its thin armour and open top left the crew exposed to artillery and infantry.
