Ordnance QF 17-pounder

The most powerful Allied anti-tank gun deployed in numbers during the war, the 17-pounder could kill a Panther or Tiger frontally at ranges the German tanks' own guns could match, and was shoehorned into the Sherman Firefly and Archer tank destroyer to give Allied armour comparable firepower.
