Petlyakov Pe-8

heavy bomber

The only genuine four-engine heavy bomber the Soviet Union built in quantity during the war, the Pe-8 was rare enough that it was reserved for prestige and long-range missions, including flying Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Molotov over occupied Europe to Britain and the United States in 1942. Fewer than a hundred were ever completed.
