Soldati-class destroyer
destroyer
The largest single class of Italian destroyers built, the Soldati class escorted the convoys that fought to keep Rommel's Afrika Korps supplied across the Mediterranean. Ten of the seventeen ships completed were sunk in the brutal attrition of the North African supply run, to Allied submarines, aircraft and mines.
