Walther PPK

compact semi-automatic pistol

The PPK (Polizeipistole Kriminal) was a compact version of Walther's 1929 PP police pistol, shrunk for plainclothes and concealed carry while keeping the same blowback double-action design that made the PP family among the first successful double-action semi-automatics. It was carried widely by German police, military officers and Nazi party officials through the war years, and is now most widely known as James Bond's fictional sidearm.
