SU-85

Built on the T-34 chassis in place of the SU-122's howitzer, the SU-85 mounted a high-velocity 85mm gun capable of killing Tigers and Panthers at range that the T-34's own 76mm gun could not touch. It filled the gap in Soviet anti-tank firepower through late 1943 until the T-34-85's own 85mm gun made a dedicated destroyer version briefly redundant.
