light tank

A licence-built development of the British Vickers 6-Ton, the T-26 was the most numerous tank in the Red Army's inventory in June 1941 and had already been combat-tested in Spain and against Japan at Khalkhin Gol. Thin armour and an obsolete design left most of the thousands still in service destroyed or abandoned in the catastrophic encirclements of 1941.
