Type 95 Ha-Go
light tank
Japan's most numerous armored fighting vehicle of the war, the Ha-Go was fast and mechanically reliable but its thin armor and small 37mm gun were designed for a war against poorly-equipped Chinese forces, not the Shermans it would eventually face. It equipped the tank units that overran Malaya and the Philippines in 1941-42 before being outclassed on every later Pacific battlefield.
