USS Enterprise (CV-6)

Known throughout the fleet as 'the Big E', Enterprise fought in more major actions than any other US ship of the war, from launching dive bombers at Midway to covering the Guadalcanal landings, and survived kamikaze strikes that killed dozens of her crew. She was the only one of the three original Yorktown-class carriers still afloat when Japan surrendered.
