Death of Mussolini
28 April 1945
Captured by partisans near Dongo while trying to reach Switzerland, Mussolini and Clara Petacci were shot at Giulino di Mezzegra. Their bodies were hung by the feet in Milan's Piazzale Loreto the next day.
Mussolini is shot by partisans on the shore of Lake Como.
