T-60

light tank

Rushed into production from car factory components after the catastrophic tank losses of 1941, the T-60 was cheap, simple and armed with little more than a heavy machine-gun cannon, useful mainly for reconnaissance and infantry support rather than fighting other tanks. Thousands were built through the winter of 1941-42 when almost anything with tracks and armour was needed.
